Taller flame & hot vessel surface is expected upon reaching max. 4 hours of burning each time. Due to the tapered shape of vessel, towards to last 5 hours of burning flame will be intense and hot vessel surface. Wick trimming is needed when black smoke stains the inner surface even burn hour less than 4.
